Gideons Speak at Flo-In Churches

Both Florida and Independence Churches were pleased to have a Gideon speaker tell the story of the
outreach work done by the group. The churches donated to the work of the Gideons.
Florida Church Has a Meal at the Essen Haus Near Pettisville
The Florida Church had an outing for
dinner at the Essen Haus near Pettisville on May 16. Good food and fellowship was enjoyed by members and guests.
Community Easter Egg Hunt April 23 at Florida UMC
Children aged from toddler to Grade 5 enjoyed singing some songs, a puppet play, and then hunting
for Easter Eggs at the Florida Church.

All Saints Service at Florida UMC on November 11
Members of Florida Church brought candles to light to remember loved ones that have passed away.
The service was very inspiring.
Holden, Pastor Laura's Son, at North Carolina Work Camp
Holden went with the Sylvania First United Methodist Youth group to a Mission
Work Camp at Cherokee, North Carolina. The pictures below have the youth that he went on the trip with.
There were 21 youth and 9 adults that went on the trip.
Rob Herron Speaks at Flo-In UMC Charge
Rob Herron of Herron's Amish Furniture in Okolona spoke to both Florida and Independence UMC
in June. He had an inspiring message for our congregations.

Royal Heirs Perform at Florida UMC June 26 and Independence UMC November 11
The Royal Heirs from Michigan performed
at the Florida UMC on June 26 during worship. All enjoyed their message of music! They returned to Independence
UMC on November 11 for a wonderful message!
Legacy Performs at Independence UMC on June 19
The Independence UMC enjoyed the musical message presented by the group Legacy on June 19.
Graduate and Scholarship Recipitents Honored

The Florida Church was pleased to honor 2011 Napoleon High School Graduate, Zach Walker at worship
on Sunday, June 5, 2011. Zach received a bible in honor of his graduation. Also, Zach and Brooke Weddington each received
a $500 Scholarship from the church Endowment Fund. Both spoke about their future plans at college.
