A Message from Pastor Laura
Clark
On behalf of the members
Florida and Independence Churches, welcome! Thanks for checking us out. It is a
pleasure to be serving here. I grew up in Napoleon, Ohio, so it is wonderful to be back in this area.
I graduated from NHS and then attended BGSU where I received B.A. in Communications. After
college, I headed to the Methodist Theological School in Delaware, Ohio where I received a Masters Degree in Theology. I
have been in parish ministry since 1988 and have had many wonderful experiences serving churches in the Findlay, Lima, and
Toledo area. I have two children: Corinne, 14 and Holden, 11. As a family,
we enjoy traveling, movies, and concerts. I believe that our best
hope for finding real happiness, fulfillment and meaning is in Jesus Christ. He is the one who fills that
inner hunger and maximizes life. At Florida and Independence United Methodist Churches, we do our best
to give you a variety of ways to discover him for yourself and grow through his love and power. So take
a look at who we are and what we offer. We would love to have you join us in the journey to “life.”
